What I bring to the table
Sooner rather than later. Most legal advisors agree it is best to get an expert involved early in the case. I’ve seen attorneys concede points that they should have contested because they didn’t have an expert involved.
I study and review pertinent documents to find evidence of coverages, bad faith actions, the standard of care, and other insurance problems. In addition to writing professional reports on my findings, I can help prepare questions for others’ depositions on insurance-related matters and advise of other insurance issues.
Yes, I can. I have worked on insurance expert cases in several states. I have worked in both state and federal courts. I have taught insurance education and certification classes in most western and central states (from Alaska to Louisiana and from California to New York). I research the insurance stand of care across the country.
As an instructor, I’m very used to hard questions. I always try to answer questions with integrity based on my beliefs in insurance principles and my 30+ years of insurance experience. I have been deposed several times and resist any effort by opposing attorneys to turn them hostile. I always try to stick to the facts of the case.
